Description
Traxstech's Dovetail Mounting Base serves multiple purposes for anglers. When used while side trolling divers, fish disks, or flatlining, it maintains the rod handle at waist height, facilitating easier handling. Additionally, when pointing rod tips skyward while utilizing planer boards, these bases effectively position the rod butt closer to the gunwale, keeping it out of the way.
Features of the Dovetail Mounting Base:
- Oval base offers a 45-degree range of side-to-side rotation, enhancing flexibility in rod placement.
- Crafted from heavy-duty aluminum, ensuring durability and sturdiness.
- The block's backside is drilled and tapped to accommodate Scotty® & Folbe® deck-mount type bases for added versatility.
Traxstech provides two variants of the Dovetail Mounting Base:
- Short Dovetail Mounting Base (Body Only) - Part: #RRH-400, Height: 5"
- Tall Dovetail Mounting Base (Body Only) - Part: #RRH-400T, Height: 13"
These bases are available separately and are also offered pre-assembled with an S-17 Salty Bolt-On Rod Holder. They are designed to cater to various fishing preferences and situations, providing flexibility and adaptability in rod positioning for anglers.
